Title: BOV's
Post by: TGed on May 06, 2007, 10:24:08 PM
I searched the forum for an answer, but I really still dont know what would be the best option for a BOV?

I searched ebay and found some from 30.00 to 300.00...  What should I get?  I do want it to be loud, but that is really not important if the not so loud one is better quality.  I am looking for something that is a kit..  for example; something that comes with the pipe, flanges gaskets, T's the whole nine yards.

I have used the DSM 1G BOV on five or six cars now. They are very stable for boost applications below 20PSI_g. They can be found with a flange for $50 or less from time to time on ebay. Make sure you get one that is not "crushed". The ricers have crushed them thinking this is a good answer to getting a more stable boost relief and as the ricers know if it is on the internet it must be true! ;)

You will get what you pay for the most part...but a 1G BOV will work just fine for a TGP or TSTE below 20 psi_g.

Get a Turbo XS RFL BOV, they are still fairly affordable, and pretty loud.

I might just settle for the first option " Item number: 140114248356" since it has everything I want...  hope it works, anyone disagree with taht decision?

I would like to find a nice DSM 1G BOV with the flange/pipe, but I just dont like buying preused parts... let alone from an inexperienced import modifier on ebay.  I'd prefer for something new, yet not exceeding 100.00 since I could spend the extra funds somewhere else needed/wanted.
