Post by: sleeperred90tgp on June 17, 2007, 03:52:00 PM

RIP to those 7 people killed. Can't believe they even attempted something like this.I have watched this car many times, it runs in the 3.80's. How tragic.

Amateur video can be seen at http://www.wmctv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6668755 .

That sucks!  :icon_eek:

It says he did a "demonstration burnout". Not pointing fingers at the driver...but he should know better than to do that in a parade with people close!! :icon_neutral:

Thought the same thing but butter flies are closed at rest. Looks like he hit the pole under power. He was clear across the road with tires smoking. Hard to believe he wouldn't lift once he crosed that yellow stripe.

Tire marks on the street may tell the story. Haven't seen them yet.

That's horrible. :icon_cry: I can't believe they let a dragster like that on the street so close to the crowds of people lining the road.

Hay Matt, your up pretty early or you never went to bed.

Yea pretty sad day for drag racing. Might keep people from doing it on the street when they see the pro's even crash.

Up real early. ;) I went to sleep around 8:30pm last night and woke up at 3amISH...retired early yesterday due to some extreme dizziness and nausia. Feeling a lot better now, but I'll still probably take my stubborn ass to the doctor later today so they can tell me I have an inner ear infection(I hope that's all it is ).
