Title: TGP review video - MotorWeek
Post by: mfewtrail on June 18, 2007, 12:20:48 AM
A guy over on the W-body board came across this on youtube. :icon_mrgreen:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=JGcEqvOgEVw

I downloaded this in the ".flv" format that the youtube site uses and then converted it to a regular video file(mpeg) that can be downloaded here(for those of you that want to save this).
http://rapidshare.com/files/37865710/tgp_motortrend.mpg

Click that link, scroll down to the "free" button and click it, now scroll down again to enter the little code that shows up and then the download will start.  The file is about 19.5mb in size.

I was waiting to hear..."with the KAZ MotorSports upgraded ECM chip it's power was too much for us to handle in the testing. I ten minutes we switched back to the Jeff M chip for our testing which had minimal power gains over stock for our driver to handle."

I'm just kidding...or am I? :icon_twisted:

Cool video...poor car needed the 7/8" sway bar to help in the cornering though.

Tim, it has sound, but it's VERY low. Turn your volume all the way up if you haven't tried that yet. ;)

PS: The performance #'s sucked, but they were brake torquing the car, so maybe they went over the set time limit and it hurt the performance(tires only chirped on takeoff w/ brake torquing  ).

112 ft braking from 60 was pretty impressive to me also. I've had to stop like THAT once because a deer jumped out in front of me. :icon_eek: The ass end of the car came up like shown in the video.

I just downloaded it a third time and maybe my speakers need more power but I still can't hear anything. Thanks. Actually I did turn them up one of the first times and forgot to turn them down and played something else. When it came on I almost spilled my coffee tring to turn the sound down.

It's audible on my computer Tim. You probably do not have the proper audio codec required to play the sound from the clip. ;) Anyone else having any issues with sound?

Tim, try downloading "Media Player Classic" from here and see if it the video has sound in that player.

I noticed they were right about the braking thing in that vid- they said the rear end liked to come up and squirm... its true... especially on gravel!

just looked at this clip again and at 2:14 into it you can see the right rear wheel lift off the ground when he hits the brakes.

If you would have told me you were going out of town and left the keys with me I would have fixed it while you were gone
