Title: Stock Wastegate, bypassing the ECM controlled part

Alright, I've seen on a number of pictures of peoples TGP engine that they removed the ECM controlled part that sits on the front valve cover and ran a line straight from the bottom of the turbo to the Wastegate inself.  How does that work?  Is it something I could or should do, or does it need to be chipped?

Yes you can do that safely. Won't accomplish anything but drastically lowering your boost pressure.

What are you trying to accomplish, more boost or less boost.

Nothing yet, was just curious why I kept seeing it.

If its just gonna lower boost pressure I'll leave it alone.
