SOLD!!
This is an excellent car. I personally have seen it, ridden in it, and helped Kyle work on it. It is very fast, obviously VERY well cared for, and in great shape. If any one of the TGP enthusiasts on here decide to buy this car, it is an excellent car and a hell of a deal. Mad props to Kyle and all the work he has put into this car- it has definitely paid off! :thumb: I wish you luck with everything, Kyle. I hope everything goes well. ;) In all honesty though, I hope you can get your SHO sold and get to keep the TGP. This would be a terribly hard attachment to break!
Attached picture- an oldie, but a goodie. :icon_cool:
thats a really sweet car
Thanks guys! I appreciate the nice comments! Nick, thanks for attaching the picture...one of my all time favorites!
Sell everything you can but the wife kids and pets and get that house. Good luck. You can always get another car but a house is proably the most important purchase you can make. Start building that equity. :icon_cool:
Oh great looking TGP. Didn't see the asking price.
Jud
Thanks for the support! It will definately be tough if I need to let my TGP go...
You are correct, I did not list a price. I am moreso gauging interest and listening to offers. I would like to get back atleast $5000 of the $6000+ in this car. Understandably so, some will find this price outrageous, but when considering the offer, ask yourself if you'd rather spend the money now, and get a practically brand new babied car, or buy a cheap one and risk all the mentioned parts dying...most of which do go out. So, I will ask for $5000, but I will definately entertain all offers.
BUMP
As mentioned, I am willing to work with offers.
Hey guys! As posted in the SHO ad, I will be moving sooner than I wanted, due to my roommate/dad moving out sooner than he expected. I need to either rent a house or buy a trailer, but I can't bring the vehicles with me, or the debt. I really need some help, and I don't want to let my pride and joy (of cars) go to just anyone; but I do need to sell. I will work with the best offer guys! Most pics and info available upon request!
Ok, updating this thread! It's still a gauge of interest, but I came to the realization this week (long story, no need to get into it lol) that I either need a bigger car or something with four doors.
That being said, I am in a stronger financial situation so I don't need to sell the car to afford the house I'm buying this August. Instead, I've finally gotten this car mechanically perfect and 95% the way I want, and I have the urge to move on. Besides, I'm kind of hoping for a family in the next two or three years.
I'd like to either trade straight up, having invested over $8k-9k in the past two year to get her great again, or I'll sell her straight out. My asking price would move up to $5,000 or best reasonable offer, since I just had a newly rebuilt trans installed....and all the other work. I feel that this is a fair asking price, and that next year...WHO KNOWS, it may just shoot up in price. And c'mon, it's an 89 lol...
I will entertain any offers of trades or to buy it outright, and I really think this is where I need to be heading in my life. Don't worry, I won't leave this site! LOL!
Thanks guys.
Booooo-urns. Put a baby seat in it.
g/l with the sale.
Sounds like a great buy for $5000.
Thanks! I would do that, but there are a couple things that make me say no:
1) Four doors are more accessable.
2) Change of scenery lol.
3) After the funeral and needing to carry 5 people, the shop car Sable made it really convenient.
Find a MINT TSTE and trade or buy it!
TSTE's are hard to find around here, and the few that pop up are battered.
I'd settle for an Aurora, newer GP, Bonneville SSE from around 93-95, Impala....something along those lines.
BUMP
Lowered the price, updated info, and made it shorter and to the point.
Nick's Birthday bump lol.
Bump!
I need her gone guys, so tell your friends about it lol. Less than a month till I buy the trailer!
PM me your best reasonable offer and we'll try to make it work!
KRenzy where is it located?
he is in MN
New Ulm, MN. 56073.
OK, so here's my revised ad, and please believe me when I say I desperately need her gone. I just signed the papers for the trailer, transfered all utilities into my name, and yeah...I'm gonna need this extra cash. So now we have options lol.
Offer number 1: $2700, I don't replace the fuel pump, but include it in the sale, and keep my FFP dogbones, STB's, and subwoofers, but leave the CD player.
Offer number 2: $3200, I replace the fuel pump with a Walbro 255, currently sitting in my bedroom, and include the lip spoiler everyone has been wanting, but I keep my FFP dogbones, STB's, and subwoofers, but leave the CD player.
Offer number 3: $3500, I replace the fuel pump with a Wlbro 255, include a lip spoiler, and include the FFP dogbones and some nice, upgraded Magnecor wires. CD player stays, STB's and subs come with me, unless negotiated.
I'm pretty firm on the prices, since I have atleast three times the first or second offers invested already. But since I know it's not always what you put in, I will work with you to negotiate a price. I'm not going to be greedy, so if you'd like to make a lower offer, please do so.
Good luck Krenzy I hope you sell it for a fair price. It is a tough market right now. Have you tried ebay? I think they have free auto listing right now.......

Ken
Good luck with the sale, It sucks you have to get rid of it... :icon_frown: Hopefully it will go to a good home..
Thanks. I really don't want to get rid of her, but I'm kind of without options right now.
I hope she goes to a good home, that's why I included it in my eBay ad lol.
SOLD!! Auction ended around 930, and he wants to come get it tomorrow!
That fetched a decent amount of money considering the mileage on it + needing a little work. :icon_cool: Tell the new owner about the forum. ;)
Oh you know I will!
And don't expect me to disappear from the site!!! I'm the wart on the fly that's on the horse's ass at the State Fair...I'm here to stay!
Sold to a nice couple who want to do some engine mods, and are serious about it, and paint it purple. Hey it's their car.

fuck that, take that car back!... lol
Sad to see her go man, that is one nice TGP. Hopefully she found a good home. ;)
I sure hope so, too, man. It's an end of an era for us, you and me. Now who's going to continue the Minnesota TGP legacy??
I dont think mine will sell. The car market sucks right now.
eBay buddy. Although I honestly hope your car doesn't sell....then it would suck because you'd be forced to keep an awesome car LOL! No but seriously, if you want to sell, then I truely hope you will find a good buyer and quick.

Sadly, if they paint it purple, it won't be the first TGP that was done that way.....well, "plum crazy" is close enough to purple.
Even better is they've already seen the purple TGP! So atleast it's gone to a knowledgeable couple.
