Post by: 90grandprixstet on July 31, 2007, 01:22:22 PM
so today i go to stop at a stop sign, hit the brakes, have braking power, but it fades out as the pedal falls to the ground, sounds like a leak right?...  cant see any leaks and the fluid stays at the same level, do u think the PM3 just f'd me over?

Any trouble lights.

Do you have both reservoirs full. These things are famous for the rear proportioning valve leaking.

yea, all full, and to be honest, i think the brake fluid got a little too hot and boiled, because i let the car cool with the hood open, took it for a drive, brakes are fine... it was 95 today, and stop and go traffic through kalamazoo michigan wasnt any good for it...

but yea, its probably the original fluid, so its probably pritty deluted by now

Try bleeding the brakes until all of the original fluid is gone from the system- you should have clear brake fluid coming from each caliper when you are done.  I'd try that first- its very cheap and easy and could rule out a few things.
