Matt,

They were made with quality shit...most likely from a pampered show Holdstein Heffer.  ;)

If the car is a TGP (either year) then it would be the factory cables from a base model GP from 88-90. I have no idea if they still make them...but a call to your local dealer would let you know. Now I do not know if the shift cables are different between the 282 and 284 tranny so hopefully one of the swap guys will chime in.

Yea, but you gotta watch out for those GM dealers, one told me that they discontinue an Item, go turn to another dealer and hes got it. At least thats what were getting down here in FL. TGPvsTII sent me to our local dealer, no longer available, Tim goes two towns away and finds it. Weird :dunno:

You may want to try and lube the shift linkage at both the shifter (in car) and tranny points (in engine bay).

thats not the problem i wish it was when i had the car in the air i had my brother shift through the gears and when he went to put it in to 1st 3rd and 5th the only thing that happened was the cable sleve expanded and the cable went no where

i found one to day at work.  they said that is was the last stocked one they had out of VA or PA or something like that.  i ended up paying 50% off of cost = 65 + shipping
