Title: Those dam pesky bolts
Post by: TurboGTU on September 23, 2007, 12:16:48 AM
Well some way or another a bolt found its way into the engine. Im thinking it might have fallen into the IC pipes and I didnt notice it. I thought I blew the head gaskets on the highway...wish I did though.  :icon_frown: . Two other cylinders had some damage also so this little basterd made some real good damage going in and out of the cylinders. Bent valves and damaged pistons. So check your pipes before sealing that engine up. I dont know if this car has bad luck or what :icon_confused: .

The good news is that I got a 06 Fusion SE. Gray/Black interior, 2.3L, auto. Peppy SOB. Good on gas. Woke up alot by removing the stock filter. Reminds me of my old SHO.

Yikes! I usually stuff shop rags into the IC tubing, IC, etc. so nothing can fall inside them.

have you done anything to it recently?  sucks that happened man.  I dropped a bolt into the UIM when I was doing the rebuild, I used a magnet and fished it out of there though.  Now I plug the intakes as well.

Are you going to fix it?
