Cool.  Where did you get the materials?  Looks nice!

What did you have to take apart to get that piece out?

I need to replace my remote keyless entry module which is below that deck.

Excellent work! How closely does that material match the stock interior?

matt I would say removal of that piece would take about an hour or so.  It's not that bad, I haven't done it in 4 or 5 yrs, but I don't recall it being to bad.

Also, yes that does look very nice, is the sun fading on the rest of the material very noticeable now that the deck cover is new?

I got the material from an auto upholsterer, it is actually trunk liner, they ordered it from Montreal Canada, Distribution DNR Enrg 384 Rue Cabana Granby, QC J2G1N8 Phone: (450) 372-4940.

They had a bunch of different samples and colors to chose from, I used Carmel. It is not a perfect match but blends in very nicely and does not look out of place, the picture I took was in the basement under a florescent light and the color looks a little darker than it is. I might have used a lighter color if I did it again.

To take the rear deck out. Take the rear seats out, 1 bolt (13M) at the front of the bottom pad and 2 bolts at the bottom of the back pads, lift the back pad straight up to remove it it is on 2 hooks. Then the 2 side post covers with the reading light on them, don't have to take the light out just remove the coat hook with a star screwdriver and get your hand behind the cover just above the light and pull towards you, it is held on by 2 plastic clips, it just pulls off. If you break the clips Canadian Tire sells them. The deck has 2 plastic visible clips that you pull out, then just lift the deck out, pretty easy job. Oh yeah, don't try to remove the seat belt plastic covers, they are brittle and they are attached to the rear deck cover and will come off with it.

The material was $18/yard + $12 to ship and is 5 ft wide which was perfect 5 ft wide is exactly what you need, I used the spray on contact cement which really works good.

Nice cheap job that really looks good.
