Check this out, they talk about the TGP briefly in there, but its only about the prototype. Still cool though! :icon_cool:
that article says these cars make 300hp , is that true?
The red prototype car with the T3 turbo and 5-speed trans made 300 HP, and I believe the stock production TGPs made 205. Kinda sad that they didn't make the production cars up to prototype spec..
Because granny would be peeling out swerving off the road with 300 hp. You sure that one has a t3? only the red one? Im pretty sure the gold one had a t25 wasnt that rated pretty high?
aww they sure did use a shitty picture for the TGP, not a factory pic, with no valence, meh...
Thats what I thought too.. they've got all these nice pictures of other cars, then this uber shitty picture of a TGP... what the hell....

Yes, it had a T3. I've posted an edited version(brightened up) of the engine bay before and you can see the differences between production cars and that prototype.
You can't repost this engine bay picture of the prototype for us newcomers can you? I am going to replace my turbo and a T-3
might not be a bad option. Anyone installed a T-3 in a TGP and if so what difficulties were encountered? Thanks.

You can build a t25 hybrid with a t3/4 compressor housing. They make an adaptor ring that uses the stock c clip on the t25 side and bolts to the larger t3/4 housing. Now you need a larger wheel. You half to decide how big you want to go and buy a housing and matching wheel. The t3 series can support up to 350 hp. The larger t4 housing is good up to 400+ hp. Make sure you buy quality parts and have the internals balanced.. Here is a pic of a t25 center section that has been modified for a larger wheel. It's not quite finished but you get the point... If you do it this way the turbo is a direct bolt on application, no modifications needed to install...
