You are referring to the stock air box setup. If you are going for a stock look, then the stock air box is the way to go, however performance wise, you get better airflow with just a K&N on the turbo.

hey now he's looking to restore to stock possibly, so take er easy.

Anyway, my $.02 is that that rubber hose, the stock rubber hose, collapses when the boost is increased, so it is not worth any type of investment.  Some have gone with other intakes, like Civic ones from AZ or Advance, that seem to work.  The trick is getting it down there with the evaporator in place, and then not sucking in water on the first rainy day.

I have a "prototype" Pontiac Jeff intake that I will someday use, but until then its directly mounted on the snail.  But good luck with your search.

You could always install the stock stuff and then fabricate a pipe to take place of the hose that collapses....or stick a pipe inside the hose that collapses to keep it from doing so.

Could also put a few springs coils inside of it.

Why bother guys!!!  Just get the stacker filter and a hose clamp and call it a day.  Most car shows allow intake modifications for stock classes.  Sure you could make it work....but why boost it if you are going to suck air from a paper filter and a dryer duct!.  Common here! ok rant off.
