Post by: GOT2B GM on February 11, 2008, 05:01:46 PM
Got the idea to make this thread from meltboys thread. Yeah yeah, now all you southern guys will chime in about how warm it is down there!!!!  :damnit1: I'm jealous of you guys.

My TGP is residing in my garage for the winter.

The weather has been nice but I've had the flu.   :icon_mad:    So I haven't gotten to enjoy it. Here are some very recent pics from around Christmas, over at my girl friends sisters house

I have the flu also. :icon_redface: I think I had something else along with it yesterday. I was so damn sick, I could barely eat or drink anything without wanting to vomit. I started feeling a little crappy Saturday night, but Sunday was terrible. Riding to the doctor's office yesterday was the worse trip of my life due to being extremely dizzy and nauseated. :icon_mad: Today, I basically have a bad cold and I feel about 10x better.

Thanks, the TGP needs to be buffed real bad. The previous owner NEVER waxed it.   :icon_cry:

Here is a pic from a few months ago. The previous owner said it was a " Nascar Style" stick on spoiler. I don't know much about it. It's held on with double side tape..

It's not a NASCAR style spoiler, but it IS a Grand Prix spoiler. It shouldn't be held on by double sided tape though...when I peaked at one local one, it was bolted down...

The one on my car is some cheap aftermarket BS. It's not what your thinking about.

Thanks Ike. The rims are 18" all the way around. With a 2" drop and 40 series BFGs on all 4 corners.

Hey Nick what kind of steel building is your car in? From the little I saw in the picture it looks kinda like the one Jimmy and I put together at my house.

I'm not really sure, Tim.  It was there before we bought the house.  I think the thing is hideous   It is indestructable though.. after the nasty hail storm that came through last summer and destroyed all houses and cars and everything in the area, there is not one dent in that building  .  All I know is its steel with a concrete base, 40 feet long by.. idk how wide it is.. wide enough to fit 3 cars in side by side plus snowblowers, riding lawnmowers, two big workbenches,  a few old classic motorcycles, my Dad's Honda Spree, and all kinds of engines and junk...  its big enough to store whatever you want in there.

It's definately big, creeky, and indestructable!

we built my steel building a year or so after moving here Jimmy was a big help in getting it finished its 30 by 40. I have about 13k in the building of it. I don't have a TGP but here is my building with my 2 TIII turbo cars in it and under the cover is my 68 Charger R/T and buried under a bunch of stuff way back in the right side rear of the picture is my 66 dart GT In 04 we had 3 hurricanes come by here without a scratch and it wasn't even finished then.

There are 2 daytona's the red one is a 92 and the green one in the back is a 93. They are daytona Iroc R/T's 2.2 twin cam turbo. They came stock with a 224 hp 217 ft lb torque from the factory. They have a T3 turbo stock and the 4 valve per cylinder head cast by lotus for chrysler. They built the cars to run a 1/4 faster then a 5.0 mustang or 5.0 camaro. They are supposed to do a 1/4 in about 14.5 stock and some guys easily get them into the 12's. One guy in Tampa got his to 500 hp with a stock long block. (his was in a spirit body) They only made 250 iroc r/t's in 92 and 181 in 93. I lucked out and have 2 of the 431 total they made. They also made about 1300 91-92 spirits with this motor. All of these engine came with a 5 speed behind them. Ask Jimmy how it goes down the road. Right now the only mods I have on the red one is a 3 inch exhaust and a reprogrammed computer running 15 psi with +20 injectors.

Tim, where did you purchase the materials/kit(assuming you bought one of those kits) for your building? I'm curious because I'm going to be looking into getting one soon.

Here is a link to the manufacture http://www.pioneersteel.com/# I believe I have the S model and its 30x40 The steel cost 6500.00 shipped from Canada to Florida. Steel has gone up a bit since 03 when I bought it but it did great during the hurricanes. It will be my shelter if any more come by. I have 27 yards of concrete and 800 dollars in steel in the concrete. I believe they sell only through there dealers but they can help you find one near you. The one I used went out of business shortly after the sale but the company was great to work with I talked to them a few times during the process. They actually had an engineer call me to answer my questions.
