Title: Wire Color
Post by: grinders_18 on March 24, 2008, 10:22:02 PM
What color are the door speaker wires on the factory stereo wire harness?

I don'rt have them hooked up at the moment, and don't want to mix them up.

This is what I found in the factory manual:

Left door:
-Pink = feed radio sw "on"
-Lt Green w/ white stripe  = feed, performance sound amp
-Lt green/black = return, performance sound amp
-Black = ground
-White = performance sound amp mute

Right door:
-Tan = feed, radio front speaker LT stereo
-Gray = return speaker front stereo

Thanks Matt!

What is the "Feed Radio Sw "On" and the ground for? The Performance Sound switch? Isn't that what the white one is for?

I'm assuming that "sw" stands for steering wheel(controls). I'm not sure about the ground, the book only had a connector view and no actual wiring diagram.

Matt your source was right on the money. I just spent the last 5 hours rewiring the entire stereo. Time for bed...I gotta be up for work at 1130 LOL!

Thanks!
