Title: Replacing all intake pipe with mandrel bent exhaust pipes???
Post by: 90TGP on November 07, 2002, 05:38:11 PM
How hard would it be to replace all of the intake piping with mandrel bent exhaust piping? Not just the intake with a cone filter, but everything from the filter to the turbo, turbo to the intercooler, and the intercooler to the throttle body.

Would everything be accessible if the car was put onto a lift? Meaning not having to remove the motor.

Thanks :)

Anyone?

Also, does anyone know if the piping from the turbo-intercooler is all smooth like the pipe from the intercooler-throttle body, or is it ribbed?

I am almost positive it's smooth. It's been awhile since I had mine off.

I don't see what the point would be, the two pipes are already smooth. They also have a bead on the end to help retain the silicone hose. You can get to both the pipes with the car on the ground.
