Hey guys I am looking for a J-body 5 speed for my cousins 1989 Z24. I screwed up when we dropped the 3.1 turbo in this weekend. We started it without putting trans fluid in, and burnt it up. My big mistake we were being rushed and forgot all about it. So if anyones got one for sale let me know. By the way it is cable driven speedo. I think it is a 282

my buddy thought he burned his 282 up in his 90 Z24 by running no fluid for a long time(gee whats that clacking noise?) but tossed in some new synchromesh and has been driving it for 5 years no trouble, so if you have not tried just putting in fluid, give it a shot.
I did put fluid in it. It is fried fluid is all milky and chunk are coming out. Got one today for 250.00 so we will try this one. Thanks though
