I have absolutely no idea how to fiberglass... would anyone be willing to make me one and I will be more than happy to pay for your time? If interested shoot me a PM. It would be for my 90 tgp. I would want one for a boost gauge, fuel/air and battery voltage.
Fiberglassing really isn't all that hard, it just takes a bunch of time. I helped build a hovercraft out of fiberglass is high school. All you have to do it make a foam mold and lay glass over the top, then dissolve the foam away. It takes tons of sanding...and more sanding, but I wouldn't put it up very high on the difficulty meter.
Just tedious, you don't need to fiberglass it, just get a spare A-pillar from the yardz, get the autometerz A pillar pod, cut out the A pillar to drop the pod in from the back side, then fill in the crack with some good old bondo or even model puddy (from those ertl model kits) sand, rinse, repeat until you get the desired results. Give it a shot of duplicolor interior grey paint (matches the factory grey almost exactly, or orange if you have a tgp interior ;))
I think Kuntzie had a writeup about it. Hey where is he anyways.
Ken
how much are you looking to spend & how big of diameter of a hole would you like & do you want just 1 spot or more?
I lost interest in doin this completely for now, got more important things that need to get done first... I'll get back if I change my mind.
