I have a 90 gtp wont start in park. If I move the shifter into reverse ,just out of park, it will start. It sometimes started by putting it into reverse or drive Of course I dont want to continue doing this. Now it wont start no matter what position i have it in. Is it the neutral saftey switch and if so has anyone replaced this already??? looks to be a PITA no room to get at the bolts and also hard to make sure the markings line up because you cant see directly down at the switch.
I do remember we replaced it when I sent off my turbo for a rebuild. If my memory is correct you can tilt the subframe from the back and get to it.
the switch is adjustable. You just need to loosen it shift it and lock it down much easier then replacement. It is tight down in there but it can be adjusted.
