I am looking for a cd player for my Black TGP. I would like to keep it factory and I will pay TOP dollar. :icon_biggrin: You guys got anything? Thanks in advance
Adam
Check out "parting out TGP" he has one but it he is to rich for my blood quoted me $275.00 for the radio he want $75.00 for a coolant bottle $200.00 for hood louvers that you would pay tops $30.00 for in a junkyard like I said he is to rich for my blood
I've got a factory CD deck I bought awhile back for my TGP, but it's doing nothing more than sitting on a shelf in my garage. I bought it off a reliable member on W-Body, but since I've never used it I can't verify it. PM me if you're still interested.
Paid and sent to your house!

WOW!! That was fast.. Thanks
Not a problem man! Let me know when it arrives!
Adam now has the grand poobah radio  Congrats a truely nice unit!
I recently bought a CD Player from eBay for my 1990 TGP that's supposed to fit & work with it, but as my car is still in a work shop for other reasons, it hasn't been installed yet.
I posted pics of this unit I purchased in another thread here (http://www.tgpforums.com/index.php?topic=4737.0) a while ago, and was told by TGP forums user pontiac6ksteawd in that thread that it should fit & work completely 100% -- steering wheel controls and all.
Then, recently, I found a picture of some TGP's interior with a CD Player in it but it's clearly not the same unit I have. I'd like to have the best possible "Stock"/"Factory" CD Player that fits my TGP, so I'm very curious and wondering if flybynite / grinders_18 could post any pic(s) of the CD Player that just changed hands between them.
Or at least please let me know if it was one of these that I'm posting a pic of each here -- in which case please specify which one.
The unit in the top pic (that's not installed) with the two analogue turnable knobs is the unit I recently purchased, and the unit in the other pic (that is seen installed in some TGP) is some other CD Player.
The CD player in the bottom picture is the correct one for the TGP, as well as any Pontiac from '89 - '91. The one in the top picture is the version that came after that, used '92 through about '95 in general by Pontiac I believe, and from '92 - '93 on the GP (after which, the GP interior was redesigned, and they went to the kind used in the Gen II GPs).
That being said, either one will work. I have the top one in my TSTE now, and the bottom one in my TGP. The beauty of the top one is if you change to the steering wheel controls designed for them, you can stop/play, skip/repeat tracks, etc. on the CD
The one on the bottom is the one I just sold to flybynite.
