Title: What is this rubber hose? 3.1 Turbo

Wondering what the hose in red is?  I see it hooks up to the sensor with the red plug, but what is that sensor and where does the rubber hose go?. There is also a vacuum line that hooks onto the sensor in the bottom hole.

Any help is appreciated. 

I ask because I have a stray rubber hose that seems to connect to steel line below the brake booster that goes to the fuel tank..just want to make sure I have that connected to the right place!!

That's the evap solenoid Kyle. The large vacuum line on it should run over to the master cylinder area and connect to the metal hose that runs under the firewall. The small vacuum line on it runs to the throttle body vacuum block.

Thanks for the answer!  this is exactly what I assumed, it's just I did not want to make any assumptions when I saw the stray line heading back to the fuel tank area!!
