Title: Hello
Post by: zero32700 on August 05, 2008, 10:27:31 PM
Hey everyone! Havent been around in a while but just wanted to say hi. I check the board every so often to see whats new around here.

Update on my car:
Last year I was having lots of problems with it, and I havent driven it since... BUT the transmission has just been rebuilt, I have a NEW crossover (please no comments about their issues), and we are replacing the PMIII right now.

After that I dont know... everything should be in good working order. After all of this I am pretty excited to get this beast back on the road and driving again. Next I just have to save up money and get it painted. Oh, and the sunroof fixed... It seems to be broken on one side and wont move... I am not worring about that right now tho.

Hows everyone else been?

Welcome back, I'm glad to hear that you're going to get your TGP back on the road again. :icon_cool:

Good! ;) I picked up my 2nd TGP back in March from a member of the board here. I posted some recent pictures of it in this thread here: http://www.tgpforums.com/index.php?topic=4917.0

Where did you get the PMIII? Mine started leaking a few months ago. Its at Prior Reman right now but they cant rebuild it because the pressure switch is bad. Ive been unable to fine a pressure switch or a entire unit.

junk yards are the best bet these days for pmIIIs.  Just a few months ago I found a brickyard pace car GP with a twin cam and PMIII with 80k on it!!!  I had the pmIII out and ready to buy it to sell to you guys but the yard I was at only took cash and they wanted like $65 for it which was more than I had.  I put it in the back of a cavalier........I might have to go back and look to see if it is still there.......

My brother in law and I were discussing today replacing the PMIII system with regular vacuum brakes. Not that my PMIII has any problems, I just shudder to think of all the gyrations required if something were to break. So I may be posting a complete working PMII and wire harness in the future...

Someone else here already did that conversion, correct?
