Title: ECM inputs for AC
Post by: z284pwr on August 20, 2008, 05:52:20 PM
I'm trying to find what inputs the ECM requires to allow the AC to run.  Does it require TPS and RPM?  Or are more items required?

Not sure what your asking but the ecm does look at tps during wot runs and will disable the A/C at a certain %. There is also a pressure switch, the ecm monitors it and if it's low on freon it will disable the A/C also...

I basically need to know what inputs the ECM needs in order to run the AC.

Our TGP is running on a Haltech E6K and I want to see if I can get the AC to run off the original ECM by just giving the necessary inputs if this is possible.  We can just as easily tap the AC request wiring in into the Haltech but the AC when any position of the climate controls are turned on.

Lets see if this helps...   http://wiki.3400z24.com/1227727#Pinout   You could also use a toggle switch to control the A/C, it's up to you...   Good luck
