Title: Lots of TGP specific parts For sale.
Post by: Chris A on November 14, 2002, 09:00:04 PM
I have come into ALOT of TGP parts lately. You name it I probably have it (minus most body parts and driver door). Featured items are a complete motor, wiring harness, Jeff M crossover and turbo along with a BRAND NEW (this is a new tranny casting with all new parts) ACDelco transmission ($3500 list price). It was in the car for about 500 miles. It ran great. Please EMAIL me with your request at aldridgec@turbogpgarage.com.

I will soon have a parts section on my webpage detailing all of the parts I have, but wanted to get this out there in case anybody needs anything. I also need to get this stuff out of my garage so I can start working on my car again.

I would also like any suggestions for parts guys want to see, or a good way to advertise parts. I know this sounds like a self serving request, but want to make it easy for guys to find parts as well as for me to sell them. I do some stuff on ebay, but I don't love it. I want to keep as many of these cars on the road and in top condition as possible (see my rant elsewhere on car pricing).

Do you know what does the ECM on te TGP controls in the turbocharger system?

I've read it controls de wastegate solenoid but i don't know if it's true or if it controls something else. Honestly, if it only controls the wastegate I'd rather install a mechanic wastegate and a performance chip to install the whole ECM and connections to te solenoid.

A little clarification.

The "TGP" ecm is just like the normal ecm. The difference is  in the chip. So there isn't anything special about the TGP ecm. It does control the wastegate, via the wastegate solenoid. it pulses the solenoid to increase boost past the mechanical wastegate level by bleeding off the boost signal to the wastegate actuator. There are also differences in the EGR system from other cars. Originally I had thought that the wastegate signal lines were borrowed from the EGR system on the other cars, but was wrong. Its a seperate wire that is added to the harness.

I might have the black plastic piece. Did you want one with the air hole or without (I assume you mean passenger side, which is the right side of the car). Also, shipping would be extra but reasonable. I don't "add" to shipping on private orders. Most items to ship are $5 and of course if it all fits in one box its not $5  an item.

I do have a couple of TGP specific plenums, but they have motors to go with. One I won't sell, but the other I might. I really want to sell the motor as a complete unit (however, there doesn't seem to be much of a market for this), but if an offer is too good to refuse, then I will sell parts off of it .

Chris, I tried to email you at this address and it keeps coming back unknown. Just thought you might want to know.

aldridgec@turbogpgarage.com.

Do you have a complete HUD unit for sale? How much. What about a set of nice stock TGP wheels?

Thanks

I have tan leather seats. The driver seat isn't great at all, it does have a couple of cracks in it. The drivers seat is probably useful if you want to have recovered without removing yours, if you have normal seats and want articulating seats (have all the harness and controls), or need parts to fix your seat. The rest of the seats are decent. I'm not sure what it would take to use the passenger seat on the driver. Sometimes you can swap the recline mechanism. The track would swap over. I'll check that out and let you know. The passenger seat is pretty good, as are the rears seats I have. I don't really want much for the seats. If anyone is mildly interested make me an offer on them.

I don't have the driver door, any of it.

I might be able to help with the air dam at a good price but I have to check on it (not my part).

I do have a complete HUD unit. THe unit itself has been cleaned by me so its not foggy. I have the dash and controls as well as the pigtails to install it in a non hud car. Tan in color. $250 for the complete setup. If you just need a replacment HUD, i'm probably going to hold out for someone wanting to swap it in.

I have 3 good wheels if you are interested. The have polished lips and look very nice! $90 each

Don't know 'bout the email, aldridgec@turbogpgarage.com

Thanks

Chris

ps This will be much easier once I get it all up on the site!

Hey Chris,

I wonder how difficult it would be to rmove the seat components for me to get redone, rather than have the expense of shipping a 60 lbs seat. Would you be interested in something like that? My drivers seat is just getting ugly and I want to get it redone... 8)

do you have any emblems? or the driver side tail light and power antenna?

Fact is I DO have some emblems, but I'm hanging on to them right now. I don't have an antenna shaft, but I do have a good working antenna motor. But you probably need the shaft. (no pun!)

Sure, I wouldn't mind trying to break it down, let me know what your thoughts are on this. It shouldnt' be too hard to get it into a couple of smaller pieces which will be much easier to ship.

Do you have the hood louvers? I need just the plastic louvers and the screws/washers that come with it, no drip pans or screens. How much would you want for them?

Do you also have the washer fluid tank??? Mine is cracked.

Well Chris...I am going to look at my seat tomorrow and see if there is a way to remove the back of the seat from the base and box it that way. I was also thinking of having you remove each of the sections without the frame attached. I will look tomorrow and see what looks easiest. What do you want for the seat $$??  8)

I see a seat dated 05/28/2001...is this the one? Do all functions of that seat work? If they do and it is the right seat $50 is fair to me!! If you have a few more current pictures I would like to look at them. Let me know what shipping will be to Kenny Kouba 9760 Wineglass RD Fountain, Colorado 80817. Do you want PayPal or Money Order?  8)
