Title: WIRING ISSUE???

Ok So i've had lots of problems with my car but I think i've got them all kink'd out???
The recent problem isn't a horrible one but kinda annoying.
My Power locks went out, My power mirrors went out, and my lumbar seats wont work anymore...
So my first reaction is to check the fuse box.
Sure enough one of my # 15 fuses went out.
I went to Schuks auto parts got a 5 dollar box of fuses (I figure nothing like over killing on buying fuses).
I Replace the fuse and sure enough everything is working fine.
I drive home and I noticed my power locks weren't working.
I looked at the fuse and saw it burnt out again. I replaced it and it immediatly went out!
I went through a whole box!
So through the advice of my friend I went and bought a box of # 25 fuses and even those went out!
Is this a wiring issue and if so what do  you think i might pay to have something like this repaired?

Check your cigarette lighter to make sure it doesn't have a penny in it or its shorted out.

oh and BTW, never up the rating on a fuse to try and fix a fuse blowing problem. unless you find the short, or have taken steps to find the short after blowing the second fuse, replacing the fuse is wasting a fuse.

My cigarette light does have a penny in it.
Why does that effect it?
Will it be permanently damaged.
(It was dark so I can't get it out)

The cigarette lighter is connected to the Constant 12V fuse in the fuse panel. The same fuse the mirrors/seats/locks are connected to.

Copper conducts electricity. Pennies are made of copper. At the bottom  of the cig lit is a 12v + connection. The penny contacts this when it sits in the bottom. The reason your first fuse worked is that the penny wasn't touching the side at the time, when you started driving it moved around and shorted out against the side, which is 12V -  and blew the fuse. it will only be damaged if you don't take the penny out, or if you try a larger fuse again.

you know I did the same thing once excepted I checked after...the first new fuse that Blew....then a week later I was a Tard...I set my keys down in the ash tray....and poof there went my Fuse again.....


and my wirering for the Lights is what is Wrong....really Wrong..

and when I use my flashers my parking fuse blows.....

and if my wheel is turned a certin way a puff of smoke comes from behind....only on start up though.....and I noticed when my wheel is in that spot after the car is running the bottons dont work for the radio on the wheel so I just figure is a bad spot on the Round thing behind...so when I pull it to fix the turn signal Im going to replace that peice too....

My steering column puffs out a little smoke now and then, nothing has ever come of it though, except my cruise control works less than it doesn't. Anyways, never step up on fuses, the fuses are designed to burn out when their is a problem. And they are rated to burn out before the wires, devices, ect. do.
