eBay is REEEAAAAAALLY starting to piss me off!!!!!!!! :gr_mad:
Why?
I first listed this car about 2 weeks ago. They canceled the auction within a day, apparently for using the word "CASH". Guess that's not an acceptable form of payment anymore. So I took out the cash part, re-listed it for 10 days, and dealt with idiotic questions like "how much for the hood scoops???", and "have you considered parting it out", even though I clearly stated in the auction "anyone who parts this car out is a monumental moron".
Well it didn't sell, despite 18 freaking people watching it, and a decent amount of interest, so I re-listed it last night. They JUST canceled it again because I have extra items listed that I said would be offered to the buyer of the car (trunk lid with mint STE plaque, white 5-spoke wheels, etc) because of "Violation: Circumvention of eBay Fees". In other words, they thought I was trying to avoid eBay listing fees by offering those parts for sale in the auction, even though these things are only going to be available to the winner of car auction since they can just pick them up when they get the car. I'm not going to be shipping trunk lids.
Very frustrating experience thus far. There's one other guy who is interested in it (customer at the store I manage) when I told him it would be around $1k ($800 is the MINIMUM I'll take on it as is). If that falls through, I may just have to put up with keeping it for another winter till I can spend some time fixing a few more things, cleaning it up real good, and trying to get $1,200+ out of it like I had originally planned.
EBay is getting WAAAY out of hand with their greediness, and dirty fee tactics. Someone needs to give them a run for their money....literally.
wow cant believe they canceled it again... put in the auction ebay suck craigslist rocks... lol try craigslist its free and heck y not...
That blows... Egay FTL
I will be listing it on Craigslist regardless. Meant to do that while the auctions were going, but kept forgetting about it. Have a couple other parties interested which I need to see if they'll follow through.
Ok.....we'll try this one more time. Updated link below.

hate to say it but since you have some rust and it has the mileage not sure if you are going to get that much for it. Sorry.
Ken
The mileage is not very high for an 18 year old car, and the rust is extremely minimal. The ONLY rust on the exterior is that spot behind the rear passenger wheel (extremely common on the w-bodies). Then there is some surface rust in a few spots in the door jams. Interiorwise, other than the headliner, it's not in bad shape at all. Anyway, considering what I've seen parts McLarens go for (which this is far from), I don't think it's out of line. And quite frankly, if it won't go for that much, then as much as I'd HATE to do this to a TSTE, I'd part it out next spring. I can't take a bigger hit than what I'm already taking at $800.
gosh if you wernt so far away id love to have it, but 800, it has possible PM3 issues, some rust spots, probably bad tires, and bad xover (i paid 350 for a freakin used Jeff M one) good luck, its unfortunate that it would be parted, it has lots of potential.
SOLD :icon_frown:
Bittersweet day. At least the guy is going to keep it in one piece. Has a maroon TSTE, too. I told him about this site, and he was pretty interested, so hopefully he signs up.
Good to hear that it went to an enthusiast. ;)
