Title: Crossover?
Post by: MechTGP on October 19, 2008, 10:08:43 AM
Hey guys i was reading up on corssover leaks and stalling was mentiond. mine stalls but only when i quickly pop the gas at idle(so far) and while in park it surges between 900 and 1100 rpm.. maby alittle steeper than that but it surges for sure. i replaced the O2, fixed a vaccume leak and the borke intake hose(inbetween the turbo and throttle body). also every once in a while it will dorp idle quite a bit and at the same time it sounds like the ABS? is doing something. or atleast it might sound a little like an electric motor. any ideas?

Hows your voltage readings?  Flaky volts can cause annoying driveability concerns.

If the voltages are fluctuating check the AUX battery post. They come loose and can cause some issues.  Also check all your grounds, make sure all are good and clean.

could be a vac leak or other other sensor issues as well.  Really in a these old vehicles you have to validate you sensors and vac lines are not bad before jumping to other more far fetched problems.
