Title: 1.6 Rockers AND Ignition Module AND Coils!
Post by: TGed on January 18, 2009, 08:53:27 PM
ICM for a V6 60* FWD engine.
Basically works with 2.8 thru 3400 and the 3.4 tdc (I think 3500s are different) .
This unit has less than 15k miles. Worked GREAT on the car and bench.

I also have 3 coils. They have less than 40K miles (one might have less than 25K miles) and they too tested GREAT on car and on bench.

Looking for $45 for ICM and $45 for ALL THREE coils.
Shipping IS included in the USA.

Buy all (ICM AND ALL COILS) together for 80.00 SHIPPED! (In the USA)

Up forsale are a set of 1.6 stamped rockers. You might ask, "Why would I want those?" .
If you have a 2.8 or 3.1 mpfi and your engine has the stock rockers, you'll find that the rockers in there now are 1.5 ratio.
What these used 1.6 rockers are made to do, is to mimic as if you installed a slightly more aggressive cam. What's great is that you will not have to pull the engine, heads and all that jazz to install these.
If you can replace valve cover gaskets, you can install these.

You reuse your pushrods, studs, guides, bearings and nuts. Just replace the old 1.5 rockers with these 1.6's!

No tune is required, no extra fuel is needed, and it's an easy modification!

70.00 SHIPPED anywhere in the USA ( OBO )
Will ship to canada, PM for shipping quote.

I cannot say exactly since I have not dyno'd with just these, but back when I did mine I was told 8-12 HP is to be expected.

Here's my opinion and my so far tested opinion goes.

I have a few sets of these installed on my cars.

One has the stock guides MODIFIED (I just grinded them with the trusty dremel)
One has the stock guides UNTOUCHED.
Then again, the other one has modified guides (dremel method)

So far, so good.

To sleep better at night, you should probably grind the stock guides and call it a day.  Easy peezy.

Its a lot easier to grab a set of guides from a 94-95 3100 than trying to grind your stockers, just bolt em in and go. Just my 2 cents.

Either way you will have to remove the guides.  And if you have a dremel, rotary tool, die grinder, and or file, you can modify your own.

Just a 1/16" if that needs to be taken out.

Well, it may sound like a lowball, but the most I would do for them is $45 shipped. I'm willing to pay that much because I'm strapped enough for time that I can't get to the yard, and pay the $15 that they would charge me.
