Title: How to check transmission line pressure?
Post by: dogginred90 on February 27, 2009, 02:09:38 PM
I was reading my repair manual and it showed how to check line pressure. But where do you connect the oil pressure gauge. I am having a problem getting my modulator valve adjusted right, and was hoping that with me check line pressure I could get this narrowed down. I have the pump and the gauge just dont know where to hook the gauge up to. I know some of you had to of done this test. Pictures of where or a good explaination of where to connect it to would be great.

Shawn, there is a test port near where the top mount bracket sits. It's a very small plug. I don't have a picture handy, but I imagine it's a pain to get to with the turbo sitting right there. It should be real close to where the tv cable attaches to the transaxle. I'll see if I can find a diagram showing the location in my service manual to post for you...

I figured it was right around there. I saw what I thought was a bolt head right below my turbo. I didnt know if that was it or not. From the bad drawing in my turbo service manual, it appears to be right around where that bolt is. I didnt see anything else there, but I could be wrong. thanks for your help
