396whp and 473wtq,
the car is 100km (60miles) from me getting some tuning done, that is the current numbers at 11psi!!!!!! he is going to send me the dyno numbers through an email for me to post up... this will see over 400whp now forsure! im so stoked
0 broken axles aswell! this should be one hell of a summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is all, its the little 3.1 that could
i wonder what it will do in the 1/4 now
:icon_eek: Wow Jeff, thats awesome!
holy shit dude, I'm kinda shocked nothing has broke with that much torque.
Very nice #'s there, gotta be the highest made with a TGP so far. Do you have any scans of the dyno chart you could post? The bottom end is still stock isn't it? Remind me again of what turbo you're using as well...
thats pretty awsome!! But make sure the dyno isnt on the "happy" setting.
the bottom end is still stock yes, hes going to be sending me a scan today i think.
im running a modified holset hx35
no way the dyno is on a "happy" setting with the amount f work i have into this
nice numbers Jeff
Yea those numbers are good!
5 speed right? Must be a tractionless beast.
Very nice!

I'm soo jealous.. Can't wait to see the final #s Jud would be proud... :icon_biggrin:
So....whens my ride?
I just can't believe you got a 3.1 to over 400 hp at the crank, that's just balls to the wall insane! I am so jealous as well... lol
Yea dude you are the man... i cant wait for 1/4 times... its got to be 11s.
that car was at almost 400 at the crank before, 302whp was my old number at 3000ish rpms before i had fuel cut which would make it pretty close to 400 a the crank.
matt- you are first in line.
i dont know if the car will be able to hit 11s or not, im told traction isnt to bad consedering and it should be able to hook fine at the track, theres still alot of tuning to be done to make everything better, im confident we can get it to around 425hp an the same boost , the ultimate goal is for a dyno run at 18psi on 110 octane and getting well over 450
this is on my setup of 3" exhaust to the cat, no more exhaust after that, 2.25" dumppipe, FMIC. there is a plan of running alky injection but the car seems to be not showing anysigns of needing it
the first day i brought it there it was n the dyno and its literally eardrum poping, it ran like crap but was so loud, even with the exhaust and the downpipe, you could still hear the turbo sucking air like crazy though. it will proably be another week of tuning till its done, so im hoping to get down there this weekend to get some videos and such.
only problem with the car so far is the throttle body (60mm) is sticking sometimes , hopefully thats the worst of things to come.

:icon_cool:
My TGP is gonna feel like a Geo Metro afterwards
Where is the scan? Lets see how it preformed over the power band.
Dyno sheet with video or I call BS!!! ;)
whow :icon_exclaim:
cant wait til i get mine done
i have a 2000 3100 engine, full forged pistons and rods, balanced rotating assembly, stage 3 wot-tech turbo cam with the comp springs and all the workings....
my goal is to eventualy tune it to 22psi with the stock 2000 3100 9.5:1 compression...
congrats my friend, im amazed, truely amazed at that 500 ft lb torque at the crank
Still no posting of the actual dyno scan...............

Now now turbo, his setup is well documented, I dont think we have another Jeff M on our hands pulling a 450 HP number out of his ass with no documentation or proof in the least. With his stuff Im sure its well cpabale of these numbers, a lot better than some possibly bullshitted setup with no proof at 450 :p
Sorry, but there are plenty of people out there who have built things with great expectations and were sadly disappointed in the result. When it came time they decided to BS there way out of their investment rather than save face and admit to a bad setup.
I want to see a dyno sheet and video of said run and it will suffice. In todays world EVERYONE (even the hicks in the mountains of North Carolina) have video cameras! ;)

WOW !!! Are you calling me out or did you forget where I live.... :icon_evil:
I personally know Jeff (kuntzie) and he's got no reason to lie about the numbers.

Oh shit man...nothing towards you!!! I loved it in Asheville when I lived there...just no one liked me cause I was a Northern'r. Sorry...wrong wording...nothing meant towards you sir. :icon_redface:
although I would like to see a vid and dyno sheet!
I have to say "Kenny my crossover?"
I think we should get a build sheet on parts....(even if they are custom) and pricing so we can all copycat you :)
so we can grenage our getrags? no thanks. i have enough torque goin to that puppy ;) ;) ;)
I don't have a getrag so if I grenade the auto I will just see if I can get it rebuilt with better parts....gotta have fun somehow...:( I'd be happy with 300whp

Good luck getting a 4T60 to hold that much power. It might last a reasonable amount of time if you just "drive" the car and don't use sticky tires(drag radials or slicks) on it. To get 300whp, all you really need is a turbo upgrade along w/ the necessary supporting items to go with it(fuel injectors, tune, fuel pump, etc.).
Jeff,nice numbers.
I also would love to see a dyno chart.
And more info on using the holset,is it a stock holset or has it been worked over?
A buddy of mine owns a dyno/performance shops that specializes in turbo's etc.. and I know he uses a Holset (I think an HX35) but it's on an all stock 5.0 daily driver.
Any more info or a chart so I can see what the powerband looks like would be awesome.
My TGP engine is going into a considerably lighter car (2600ish lbs).
