Is anybody running these? And if so, are they any good?
Thanks
I will never use AL's in my GM engines ever again.
Hey cuz stay of my screenname, it flipped me out when I saw I posted something. I must of been sleep posting.LOL
ummmm wtf?
My cousin has a 89 Z24 with a 3.1 turbo in it, and instead of getting his own screenname he uses mine. So I just was surprised when I loked and saw that I posted something with out knowing.
have had good luck with ac rapidfires. been in there for over a year. not modded yet but starting to.
These ignition systems don't work well with platinum plugs.
AC Delco R42LTS plugs work the best. If you're running more boost than stock, you can gap them to .030".
thanks

X2
I am not a big fan of autolite plugs, They only work good in Fords. Autolite has a very good race plug that I use on a regular basis but thats it... :icon_twisted:
TGPs work best with the stock plugs... ;)
I'm currently running autolite 103's in my black TGP. They've been in there about 2-3 years now and it runs perfectly.
Here's a quote from a rep at NGK that's sorta ontopic...
"You are correct that NGK is a supplier to General Motors. AC Delco is not a plug manufacturer but rather just GM's brand. NGK as well as Denso and I believe even Honeywell supply spark plugs to General Motors."
^Honeywell = autolite. ;)
On a similar note...What's the best spark plug wire?
I owe my friend a set... :icon_redface: Don't ask. lol
Again, AC Delcos work great. I couldn't justify spending big $$$ on a spendy set of aftermarket wires when the factory ones work great.
For anything Ignition related, stick to AC Delco products.
Well, the Delcos are $50 and Taylors are $64...ARGH! lol
The Delcos can be had for a good price on rockauto ;)

I do like the Delco's when it comes to wires. ;)
thanks again guys, The info has been great.
Napa Belden Lifetime silicone wires are like 32$ for our cars....
AC delco all the way in these motors. R42LTS
Close the gap for high boost / RPM
I am a bit under 0.030" gap, any larger and it was snuffing the spark over 6400 RPM @ 15 psi.
