Title: Aftermarket cam part #?
Post by: dogginred90 on May 06, 2009, 09:15:46 PM
Well I am getting ready to pull the motor and trans out(needs trans replaced). I figured it would be a good time to change some gaskets that were leaking. Then I thought why not go with a little bit bigger cam while I am at it. My engine is all stock and I have a hot tune chip from Kenny. I just want something that a little bigger without needing my chip retuned. Thanks

If you can find one...

PowerMax H-260-2    Good idle, daily usage and off road, towing, economy, also mild turbocharged, 2200-3000 cruise RPM, 8.0 to 9.5 compression ratio advised. Basic RPM 1500-4500

That is probably your best option.  Plenty of people suggest it, say it has killer bottom end and still keeps the mid range strong as well.

If you wanted to get a little more serious, you may consider the 272?  It seems to have more mixed opinions than the 260 though.  There doesn't seem to be as many people with it either though, or at least that I've read reviews from?
