Alrighty, well I suppose I should get some direction. Heres all my new stuff
Bosch o2 sensor the other day (i know i know but that big a difference?)
Skalor burned me a chip long ago
Yellow top injectors
Jeff M Xover
Fuel pump
All vacuum Lines are fine, including those under the plenum, by the fender, cruise, ect are all fine
Fuel pressure is Great, instant, and holds
Plugs are AC's gapped at .30 and i have Napa Belden Max wires
K&N Filter
Thing has to take 2-3 times to start when its sat for a few days, even if I prime the rail, pressure is good. The thing is, is this thing has one HELL of a time learning to idle, it damn near wont. I can get it to learn its idle for 4-5 days, idles nice and low. You start it the idle would come right down to 800 in a second or 2 instead of going from 2200 to 1000 in 15 seconds. It wouldnt drive istelf and would be damn pleasant to drive and would always start right up. So im starting to connect the dots. After 5 or so days, its like it complely forgot how to idle. It revs up to 2200 then slowly, and i mean slowly comes down to an acceptable-ish idle, still makes the trans thud because the rpms are to high. I get horrible mileage, less than 14 mpg in mix driving. I also notice the car starts hesitating when this crazed idling starts. You try to accelerate nice and slow and it acts like its bucking, or hesitates, giving it more gas immediatly clears the problem and it goes fine. The cars got pretty good power, I remember it being much faster, but it could just be me. It stumbles at idle also, but I have never gotten an SES light.
Also! is it normal to have a certain throttle spot when the car pulls hardest. Its like 1/4 maybe 1/2 gas, anything more the car feels like it slows down and "runs" out of air it seems like. You hit the sweet spot it just flat hauls
Any ideas to point me in the right direction?? Maybe a Bad EProm? Bad ECU? Bad ground somewhere? I just dont know! Like i said a if you can get it to relearn it solves some of the issues for awhile
Mine is doing the same thing! I have no clue what is wrong with it either.
Try cleaning or replacing the IAC and then clean the TB/TB ports from all it's carbon deposits.
Well i have swapped the IAC with my white car, (which idles wonderful) no change for either, White car runs the same with it, red car runs the same with the different one. I got a spare ECU and the stock PCM, well see what happends there i suppose. Anyone got any better ideas?
Is there a gasket for the top TB plate? I wanna take that little plate off and clean it all out, but im afraid ill never find a gasket, i cant find one listed here at work.
TPS sensor? Those are something I always had issues with. Wiggle the wires going in to the sensor to see if your idle changes. I remember i had issues with the wires there breaking inside the insulation once.
Well i tested it
With the different ECU, the idle returned quicker. With the stock chip, it freakin idled low as hell, i loved it, like 750 rpms. But it was slow, lol!!! It solved my start up racing, and made the RPMs return very quick, but didnt solve the sweet spot problem. Any ideas on that, i hate that it goes slower the harder you push it.
