i just bought a 1990 tgp and it looks like its been driven pretty hard but i still like it and bought it but know its giving me brake problems, when i test drove it and bought it the abs light was on and flashing all the time and it sounded like something was beeping every time it flashed also the brake light would come on when i had the brakes on but would go away after i let off plus the pedal had a jerking motion all the time when u pressed it, the day after i was driving it and i had to make a sudden stop to not blow a red light well i slammed the brakes and it didn't do anything at first then all the brakes grabbed and it almost threw me out the window and i think i tripped the abs and after that i looked and the abs light stopped flashing and i kept going and pulled into a parking lot and went to park and i had no brakes at all so i put it in neutral and i rolled back in the spot and the brakes worked alright, so i pulled out and kept going and i only had brakes about half the time and i couldn't push to hard or they didn't work and now when i push the brake pedal the brake light still comes on but stays on for a minute or two after i let off the brakes and the abs light doesn't flash at all
so I'm so confused on what to do, i think ill check the brakes to see if their installed right and checked the fluid but i wanted somebodies opinion who has actually worked on one of these cars because everyone i have talked to hasn't even seen or heard of these cars so nobody can point me in a direction.

that might help you understand it more and diagnose the issue.
Sounds like the powermaster unit is failed, and needs replaced, somebody on here was selling one.
i was thinking that maybe i blew a line because i have very little brake fluid so i might bleed the system and try to find i leak otherwise i think that might be the problem

Check the rear of the master cylinder and the proportioning valve at the rear of the car. Both of those areas are common for leaks...hopefully it's not the master cylinder housing. ;)
