ive been reading a lot about effective compression ratio & boost, as well as boosting with higher compression motors. my question is-would running 92 or 93 octane with 11.5 CR, 12-13lbs of boost, & a tune for it-be possible?
im gettin contradicting info on effective compression ratio everywhere-& so far i cant seem to find anything about what is the max for 92 or 93 octane before race fuel or additives are needed.
I would guess that your best bet would be to run e85. Octane rating is usually over 100. Only if you plan on getting a tune tho.
I built a megasquirt for a friend with a camaro. Hes runnin 13.5-1 compression on e85. Naturally aspirated.
i plan on running 9.5:1 comp ratio and 22psi boost after a very very good tune and e85... should work if the heads and everything are polished for no detonation
