Title: $687.00 turbo repair
Post by: GPChief on November 25, 2009, 09:57:30 AM
My exhaust side (compressor) had almost 1/4 in play.  Compressor housing was scratched. Rebuild kit, new housing, and labor $678.00

My question is this, could I save the housing and get it milled for a T28 or some other hybrid?

GEESH! at that point, I would buy something fierce and fabricate parts to make it fit.

I've got a GT3076R but I want at least 3k on my built motor before I hit it with some serious boost.

i wouldnt have paid that in a million years for a turbo rebuild, especialy if i had one just sitting there, i would have just ran the gt30 because it doesnt matter if you have 3k miles on it or 0k miles, that gt30 is eather gona make or brake it eather way...
