did you remove your mufflers and run straight pipe?  I noticed that my turbo spools quicker and the rpms shoot up faster and the car feels more powerful but I have noticed that my torque seems to have dropped off.  It kinda makes no sense because turbo motors are not supposed to need back pressure :?: !

i did not take the mufflers off.  i know the car is faster now "FOR SURE" but the turbo used to kick in about a half second after i hit the gas and roast the tires.  now it seema the turbo kicks in @ about 4 grand.  any ideas?

Put your stock chip back in and see if its just a difference with the way its setup. Its probably perfectly ok, its just quicker so it seems like its happening later.

You mean you have better traction/launch control out of the hole now  8) .  That is the idea with a Performance Chip, to achieve the best times that you engine can provide, without spinning the tires and seriously degrade your acceleration times.  Every TGP is different too as far as power coming on from a stop and WOT (Wide Open throttle), I confirmed this with a number of TGPs, first on the ones I had access to here at my garage.  One TGP would not spin the tires no matter what, we even unplugged the wastegate to get it to spool right now and power still came on slowly, but he had traction at the limit of the tire?s adhesion so he was pleased (NO unplugging the wastegate for anything other than a test, even then a scan tool is recommended to watch for knock, though my chips all have aggressive changes to allow the boost to spike up to 15 psi and not cause engine damage, (even though there is no more power made up that high), it is always better to play it safe and keep on eye on things/your investment).  Back to boost differences, another TGP here boosted fast and hard all the time, with the same chip as in the slower boosting TGP, and mine was in the middle more so favored to a faster boost climb/peak and more wheel spin.  I set up the boost initialization/boost ramp up based on an average between these 3 TGPs, then sent that version of chip (this was years ago) to some remote beta testers I was working with to confirm their results (they sent there verbal reply and a logged Diacom data file for my review).  So, the end results was a chip that is in the middle for the boost characteristics of the TGPs out there.  I did for fun make a version of the TopGun chip that had the boost initialization set to max, that would roast the tires at a 20 mph roll, lots of fun but my et?s suffer with only a 6.3 zero to sixty in my TSTE.  That chip I affectionately called the ShoGun chip.

So you should be fine, but always good to ask, more knowlage better (purposely poor grammar ;->.  Remember only losers smoke their tires.
