I should of gotten there earlier than what I did the entrance line was really long. All the way there and back and I am short 60 miles of short of rolling over 200000 miles. Can't wait to go again sometime. Plus it would be nice to see you guys head up to Byron or Cordova.
Thanks to grandma for giving me the opportunity to go racing!!!

Not bad guys.
89BlackTGP, what were your 60ft times and was that 93.52mph your best trap speed?
NTRCOOL: Did the car feel any different at this track? I see that your traps are lower than the ones you've posted from Cordova with similar times. Is that 14.17 your best run so far?
Jon, looks like you got some pretty decent launches out of a vacuum brake car. I'm surprised you didn't trap a tad better and crack 14's.
When you guys get a chance, take a picture or scan your timeslip from your best run and I'll add your times to the 1/4 mile page(if you want them there). http://home.windstream.net/mfewtrail/
EDIT: I see two of you have already posted slips on the other board.
Yes my slips are on w-body. You can use them. :) I'm on my phone right now so I'll answer your questions when I get on the real computer.
The track seemed to be a different pavement than Cordova but I think the real difference is air temp... Cordova I am there usually at night so I would guess temps around 68* and lower and this past Sunday was 75*+. The other issue I had was the fact that my secondary fan wiring was messed up so I couldn't use it. and It was harder for me to keep my engine temp consistent. Plus I was having a hard time feeling comfortable running all out because my cluster tach feels like its reading higher than before. I have an sunpro giant tach but I have to get around to installing it just like the rockers and buying valve springs too. I'll get pics of the slips up tonight and post my vids on youtube when I get home from work.

Honestly so was I, but thats not to say I wasn't happy! The last time the car was at the track, Jay ran a 15.21
You can tell by the times that I hotlapped a few. My best time of 15.0 was the first run. I was consistently loosing power on the top end, probably because I don't have a tgp trans installed.

Happens to be i have one!! Get it from me this time or you will never get one!
If I buy one from you it would be a 284 setup.
Pics of my slips.
You put down some good times with high mileage. :) nothing against high mileage but you would think high mileage motors wouldn't run that strong.

Definitely some awesome times! Those drag slicks are the sh!t.
It was interesting to see how a topgun chip stacked up to a flybynight.
i might be running mine tomorrow... 89BLackTGP how are you launching man just droppin the clutch? What rpm? Boost? A lot of spin? Let me know im trying to figure something out, have my boost controller rigged for lower boost off the line to help traction, then closed for 2nd and on.
Updated the 1/4 mile page. ;)
http://home.windstream.net/mfewtrail/
Well I didn't want a failure when launching so I kept the RPMs low. I slipped the clutch as
much as I could at around mmmm maybe 3,000 and after the tires initally started to move I punched it and fully let the clutch out. The tires still spun a little doin it this way but it was a mix of traction/spinning. It chirped 2nd good and hard. I ran potenzas 009's on the front. I usually have proxes 4's all around.
I would be afraid to just dump the clutch in case you doo hook and then snap axles. This was my first time running a 1/4 mile. Once I go again I will probably get more agressive and get better times. My worse part is taking off.

awesome! What's the link to Juds? car that he ran a 13.5.. That's pretty quick!
thanks man, im going to try a few different launches, the only problem is my car burns all the way through 3rd so i really have to figure something out off the line or i wont be going anywhere! Going to try running the boost controller in first then second pull the line and run full boost. Oh yea they dont have test n tunes on wednsdays yet... too earlier in the season.. I might have to go on Sat : (
I wouldn't start judging chips yet Jon you have to remember I have been pulling things out of my car for weight reduction that most people wouldn't and I'm still not done with that. plus tires have a lot to do with racing summer tires are better than run of the mill tires and the M/T et streets are not too much of a durastic change they just help keep wheel spin to a minimum off the line.

Search his screenname - "sleeperred90tgp(RIP :icon_sad:)" on here and you'll find info about his car. He had a larger turbo, top end swap, etc. on that car. It could have been WAY quicker had he actually had it tuned properly.

IIRC the best anybody has done on my tune was a 14.2. No weight reduction and a stock turbo. The only mods were a free flowing exhaust and some 28lb injectors... It was an auto as well... :icon_biggrin:
Hmmm..... 14.2 with no weight reduction on one your chips Flybynite? How much I'd like to see the difference in my car. but I still need to get a hold of some LS1 valve springs then actually get around to installing the Rockers. Shoot me a Pm on a estimate for a chip please :icon_mrgreen:

There we are... :icon_biggrin:
Looks like you guys need to block the rear struts and keep some of that weight from transferring to the rear. ;)
:icon_eek:
What the hell do you know about that!
Cool
I don't care what anyone says, the new bumper looks SOOOO much better on the car.
