Title: OEM parts
Post by: TLOC on May 17, 2010, 06:02:17 PM
Trying to find GM part numbers for a '90 TGP, front engine mounts(dog bones), ignition wires, rad. cap, thermostat, serpentine belt. Maybe sites with the best prices too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance...T

Just go to your local parts store, its all cheap stuff, Dog bones are super common, in stock item costing like 10-15 bucks a peice, wires for a good lifetime set run 30 bucks, rad caps 5 bucks, serp belts 25 bucks. I mean support a local parts store or somthing, after you save a whole 15 bucks online total on everything, you pay 20 for shipping, lol, makes tons of sense

here ill even save you time, Napa numbers

Dog bone - 602-1310
Wires - 700381
Belt - 6k705
Rad cap - 703-1447
195 Stat - 222

I guess I wasn't clear, I asked for OEM parts help, meaning GM/ AC Delco parts. I'm 46 yrs old, owned 21 different cars over the years and the "box" stores worked when I was younger, broke and wanted "cheap" parts with great warranties. (LIFE TIME GUARATEE if you want to change it out 13 times) Now I own 3 cars, 2 trucks, 2 motorcycles and 1 ATV and I ALWAYS use OEM/ FACTORY parts when possible. I still suppport my local AutoZone, AA, O'Reily's with oil, filters cleaning supplies etc. I even buy most of my TGP parts from the local AC delco wholesale dealer here in town, but the new guy there is a real prick! So, next time please offer the help requested. Thanks...T :bash:

The common part #'s thread here at least covers the plug wires. Rockauto.com that was suggested above stocks most ac delco parts. The delco plug wires from them cover w/ a lifetime warranty. A lot of part stores can order these as well, but rockauto is the cheapest by far, even w/ shipping.

Here's a link to that thread: http://www.tgpforums.com/index.php/topic,2249.msg13556.html#msg13556

If you look near the bottom of the first post, I have a link to scans of a Grand Prix parts catalog there with a lot of part #'s. I'm not sure if the other stuff you're asking for would be listed among that though.

EDIT: I did some looking and found these for you. These are original part #'s, but might have been superseded by others by now. Any GM dealer or parts supplier should be able to use them to get you the newer numbers if necessary.

Radiator Cap: 10409635
Thermostat: 24507563
Serpentine belt: 88986811
Ignition wires: 19154577

I did not find an original part number for the dogbone mounts though.

well hmm, where do u buy OEM parts, duh the freakin dealership, and dont worry GM as usual used the cheapest garbage parts they could at any givin time, and if they dont have them "listed" anymore, they just tell you its GM, and they call shucks and autozone and get the part and mark it up like its a delco part. and yes TWO GM dealers have done that to me. So have fun with that.....Rubber dog bones are rubber dog bones. Any part store caries genuine AC delco spark plugs and might be a ble to get AC delco wires. GMpartsdirect.com about as close as you get to not going to the dealer. You obviously have put OEM parts on your car for 20 years blah blah blah wtf are u asking for? go to the dealer and get the shit pay, 10x for the same garbage from china that goes bad in 50-80k :icon_rolleyes: There arnt web sites that just magickly have Genuine GM parts sorry, if thats what your trying to ask, short of GM parts direct, and they have most of the shit on back order, high ass shipping prices, and next to 0 for customer service, iv been there tried that place
