Good luck shoehorning everything in. I'm having a hell of a time getting my GT3271 in even after relocating the battery. Of course I'm not running a FMIC yet, and the stock SMIC is really in a bad spot combined with the 3400 tb location vs the old 2.8/3.1.

Very interested in seeing pictures of the project.

Is that an ebay turbo?

This turbo kit was made for Kuntzies 3.1 w/ 3400 manifold flanges,  im just a little worried about the external wastegate placement with the 3400 TB being in the middle... kinda right where the wastegate is but we'll see maybe it will clear.  I also cant find 3400 phenolic spacers if anyone knows a site let me know!   Other than that ... battery will probably be moved to back and i still have a few things to order...  If for some reason this kit is going to be a cunt with the 3400 ill just use the 3.1 currently in the car... it has 1.6 rockers and is VERY strong motor so either way its going to be a fun car.   Ill post some more pics soon!

Get with Ben from 60degreeV6 or (WOT-Tech) and see if he has some left over or is willing to send you the specs.  That is where I got my spacers from and let me tell you that with those spacers installed the UIM was way cooler than the 3.1 UIM.   :icon_eek: :icon_eek: wayyyyy cooler!

wellll looks like im using the 3.1 because of better wastegate placement seeing how this kit was designed with a 3.1 throttle body is farther back , plus im buying the intercooler piping off Kuntzie so i should be all set to go.  Just need a 62mm wastegate spring and will be ordering a new clutch this week.  probably going Spec stage 4.  Also need a set of INTAKE SPACERS  but i can get them later!   Going to move the car tonight, possibly tear down , drop subframe get new bushings and bolts.  That will be a good start.  Then it will be slap city. :icon_mrgreen:

engine/ trans removed.     Ordering a Southbend stage 3 sprung ,4 puck , rated 420tq, highest rated clutch they have for 3.1/282 setup.   Everyone i talked to locally said spec is junk and either blows apart or slips prematurely, southbend is no BS,    A great deal , about $100 cheaper than the over-rated spec 3+.

Anyway if anyone is interested it's phone order only , PN is 04-088DXD (specify 3,4 or 6 puck)  price is $425 shipped!!
*****EDIT-  4 puck came to $380 shipped!!! nice deal! w/ 1 year warrantee+post warrantee $175 complete rebuilt!

Southbend Clutches - High performance clutches that won't slip, chatter, throw disc springs, wear the flywheel, burn up pilot bearings - 1-800-988-4345.

UPDATE:  Doin pretty good only have a few more things to round up...   Goign to have my welder guy make a heavy duty bracket that goes from the intermediate shaft to the engine block,  the cracked aluminum one i dont think is up for the task  Also the lower tranny mount is completely destroyed and might either be completely remade from scratch or modified to prevent excessive movement! :icon_lol:

also -4an oil return line w/ oil restrictor on the way along with nice return line setup.
clutch finally ordered.
also need long cables to move battery into trunk and a few other things...

lots to be done here... wish me luck!

Also subframe was welded to unibody  , solid trans mounts in the making. need to pick up an oil scavenge pump and a few other things...otherwise looking pretty good.

change of plan, ditched the generic t4 for a holset hx35.  Looks like everything fits perfect.  A few more things and it'll be up n running.

I saw mention of the axle stock pile you are building up as if it's any thing like Kuntzie's you will be going through them like crazy.

Props on going through with the install though!  Will be more than a handful to drive around.

havnt updated in a while... definately concerned with breaking axles but i think kuntzies car had lowering issues and had to have his custom length?  Anyway got held up for a while ordering parts... and then ordering more parts... hoping to have it running in a week .  Just got the scavenge pump mounted and bought a bigger front mount intercooler... thing is huge!! but there is so much room in from of the radiator its almost like it was made for the car. :icon_cool:
