Title: $8F Definition with Correct Shift Light Tables/Constants
Post by: GhrarhG on October 22, 2010, 11:18:41 AM
In the effort to turn my damn shift light off, I've found that my XDF seems to be crap when it comes to the Shift Light constants. I can set COOLANT THRESHOLD FOR E-LITE ENABLE to 151C and it's still on! I've corrected the XDF so that the correct N/V ratios are under the proper headings, but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone provide a working XDF? I've used $8F v1.2 $8F without much luck, I was told a while ago that $8F v2 wasn't great. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

Pull the blub out of the cluster........thats the way to fix it for sure.

At least that is what I did, I gave up trying to program that damn thing.

Guess you figured it out. But there's lots of code editing required to make it work requireing a whole new code not worth the effort. Pull the bulb as suggested. I don't know how that xdf has that as a shift light constant when  in the code it's the torque converter code.

old, but info is info.

the shift light code doesn't exist in 8F. the calibration is there and populated, but there is no code to utilize it. there are actually quite a few situations where this happens.
