Good work Jon,
So thats a 3500 block with a 3100 upper?
And just a suggestion - put some heat wrap on those fuel lines :icon_cool:
Yep largeport 3100, reason being, I can use a small port 3100 throttle bracket so I can have a kickdown cable. How many guys do you know with a non-electric trans behind a 3500?! :icon_mrgreen:
I've got some more wrap, so I'll get on those fuel lines.
Lookin good Jon!
I used the lx9 upper and still retained my 3t40 trans...

You can go old school like I did on my DD...I just used Aluminum foil.

Did you buy the TB adapter? or find another way to do the kickdown cable.
I have a 3400 adapter and a single cable going to my TB... I still have the second cable of for the kick down functioning, but it never touches the TB or TB bracket.
Pretty simple using the quad box.
What is this quad box of which you speak?
(http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad220/accountpictures/Auto%20Photos/GM%20Parts/qbockstvtb.jpg) I had to swap the interior cable to make it cleaner looking since I no longer needed a 4 foot cable strangling me every time I mess with it.
I'm intrigued by this... how does it work?
Oh and now that I got the o2 sensor working, I made a video of me tuning the car with boost and using Autotune. You can watch the EGO Correction gauge to see what autotune is doing to my VE table. 100% means I got the number dead on. Over 100 adds fuel and under 100 removes fuel.
I love to hear the turbo spool up, is there a better sound in the whole world?

You put the cable end in the camber that it operates on and you connect the trans side like normal. The adjustment is now at the base of where the trans hooks to the end of the cable.
It's clean and simple.

Sounds and looks awesome man. What do you have left to do to it if anything?
I'm interested in doing this swap into my 88 Fiero GT. What is the calculated compression ratio with this combination? Are you using the original 3.1 Turbo heads?
The entire motor is stock 3500. It has 9.8:1 compression ration.
