Title: Ordered new air-dam!
Post by: jarrade on December 19, 2010, 06:35:11 PM
After months of trying to find a lower air-dam I finaly found 1. I came across it in a google search earlier today and believe it or not they have the entire valence and everything. All together it was like 65 bucks!! :icon_mrgreen:  :icon_mrgreen:

Where did you order it from? The valances were discontinued a while back(maybe 2+ yrs ago) and people have said they couldn't even find any through GM's vintage suppliers. I do not think any aftermarket companies reproduced these either. It's very possible you ordered a non-B4M/B4U front valance meant for the cars without our body kit....

I ordered it from usautobodyparts.com. it was listed for the turbo model and the pic looked right

I'm not seeing our valance there. The front ones they have appear to the be the squarer ones for the cars without our kit. None of those part #'s match the OEM turbo numbers for the valance. I do however see that they're showing a OEM remanufactured TGP specific front bumper cover. If they actually have those bumper covers in stock, that site is a pretty good find. ;)

EDIT: See this image for a part #'s.

I have a spare complete front clip. As a spare for me. Not for sale. The day I sell it I will crash the car. That's Murphy working overtime........ Awesome find you have there. Hope it's what you need and a good resource for other TGP owners.

Did it end up being the right air dam?

I ordered it on december 19 and after we waited for it to get here for like a month we discontinued the order. We discontinued the order because the company wouldnt respond to my emails. The place called us the next day after we cancelled and apologized to us and said that they were out of stock and were on backorder and that we could order at a later time. So I might try and order it again but I'm not sure.

what's the part number for the TGP valence? the one they have listed is part# 14088031

I also found that they have remanufactured TGP front bumper covers and rear bumper covers.

bumper goes on fine with a 32x12x3 up front.. bunch of unneccesary plastic and crap that needed to be trimmed but it fits like a glove.
