Title: My TGP Convertible Model
Post by: NTRCOOL on January 26, 2011, 03:54:40 PM
Hey guys I just wanted to start a thread about a model I am working on (since I can't afford to do anything to the real ones). Anyway It was a TGP model I picked up off Ebay and when I opened it up I noticed the body was stressed like something had rested on it for a long time. and I was bummed for the longest time. Then one day I had the Idea why not cut the roof off and do something unique with it. So hear are some progress pics of it and I will continue to show the process. Enjoy.

This is what the interior would look like Black. I also had a suggestion for Grey.

No red on tan lol!  Grey does sound nice.

I'm making one right now as well, but looking for the other shades for the interior. I decided to paint the exterior a red that's a little darker than the actual car's red, but it's the brightest-red lacquer aerosol, so I thought it would be an OK sacrifice.

Too bad I suck at the painting bit. Prolly have to paint the bumpers some more.

Painting is always fun as far as keeping a good distance away and spraying intermittently to avoid runs.
