Since my parts car is just sitting I talked to my dad and we started talking about ideas for it. We came up with this:
Engine:3.4 or 3.5 v6 with custom twin turbo set-up
Trans:4T65E with transfer case out of Buick Rendezvous
Exhaust:Custom headers to mandrel bent 3-inch downpipe through mufflers, 3-inch all the way out to stock place
Suspension:2 inch drop in the front, 2-3 inch drop in the rear
Brakes:Slotted and drilled rotors, Possible size increase
Wheels:2004 Pontiac Bonneville GXP rims (18x8) on the street, Aluminum rims on slicks for the track
Tires:Slicks for the track, Goodyear Gatorbacks for the street
Interior:Full interior with stock AQ9
Steering:Stock TGP rack and pinion
Just an idea but thats what it would be built around. LMK what you guys think.
as much as I like the 3.4 I would rather you go with 3.5 just to see what it would do. definitly will be one hell of a project. keep us updated with Pics. Jimmy
Yea its gonna be a hard project, but it helps to have an ASE certified tech as a dad lol. I have slowly started to look for a rendezvous that's been wrecked to get ahold of. If everything comes together with the parts then I will start a thread for pics when we begin on the build. :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:
So it will be AWD?
Not bad it would be very cool in the end but just curious why you wouldn't use an earlier versatrack system?

Yes it would be all wheel drive.
And I'm planning on using a newer style set-up because it will be easier to find parts for...and possibly cheaper.
I would defiantly like to see that come together. :icon_mrgreen:
The versatrack will be your biggest obstacle. I'm not saying that it can't be done, it will just be very, very difficult. The system needs a BCM to control it. The BCM won't work unless it has a VIN matched ECM with it. Then, if you do swap in the ECM and BCM, you won't be able to tune them for the turbos.
If you are serious about doing the versatrack, I suggest buiding a megasquirt3 V3.0board to run the engine and build a GPIO board to run the 4t65E and another GPIO to run the Versatrack. That's the only way I could see it working. The Megasquirt and the other 2 GPIO boards communicate via CAN. I'm working on hardware and code for the megasquirt that will let you run the factory CPS and CMP sensor (so you don't have to buy an external crank trigger) and use the factory 3500 ignition (so you don't have to swap in GM DIS). http://www.60degreev6.com/forum/showthread.php/47942-LX9-crank-relcutor-Megasquirt-Coil-near-plug
Here is my tech article on building a Megasqurit V3.0 for a 3x00 V6.

My dads doing the electrical and all the tuning so he's gona come up with something. Found a decent rendezvous that has what I need. Heres the link:
