Title: Anti-Lock Light
Post by: Murt TTA/TGP on December 15, 2002, 03:00:00 PM
Today I finally got my powermaster III unit back into my TGP.  It was the second time it was rebuilt from prior.  The first time it ended up leaking from the resevoir after a few months.  I am pretty sure i bled the brakes right, everything seemed fine for about 15 min of driving then my Anti-lock light came on.  It keeps on blinking on and off.  What would cause this light to blink on and off?  I still have good pressure, and it doesn't look like there is any fluid leaking, these brakes are a PITA!!!  Will a scanner tell me what is causing the anti-lock light? maybe a sensor or something?  I think i might just pull the ABS fuse, thats what we eventually had to do with my friends Subaru SVX.  Thanks,
Murt

I think if you pull any fuse on this system you will be left with little to no brakes.

Thats right, pulling any fuses won't take care of the light. Pull the wrong one and by bye brakes.

A scann will definitely let you know whats going on. The flashing light means that a small portion of the abs braking has been bypassed. A steady light means severe brake failure. You can still have abs braking with a flashing light but not a steady one.
