Title: Just received my new KYB GR2 struts.
Post by: 90TGP on December 16, 2002, 04:31:18 PM
Well I just got my KYB GR2 struts [all four] today. With the new struts, front lowering springs, front and rear strut tower braces, and the rear Addco bar, I really should be able to do some M4d TyT3 driving!

I'm just waiting to get a nice Lumina Z34 front swaybar to complete the package.

Sounds trick.  These cars look there best a little lower, or wheels/tires that will fill the fender wells.  An idea just came to me because the front spoiler scrapes so easily already,  maybe some of those partial spoilers on each side which have no center section would look right and not scrape, in place of a stock spoiler.  I would love to trick out my extra TGP with many mods and keep my mint one    mint.  I'll have to make sure I have job security b4 laying out the dough though.

I got the front lowering springs from www.jcwhitney.com

Front,rear KYB struts from www.tirerack.com

Front,rear strut mounts from www.tirerack.com

Rear strut cushions from autozone.

Front, rear strut tower brace, rear swaybar I got used from a member on www.clubgp.com

For EVERYTHING, I'm estimating around $725.

The strut tower braces and the swaybar where a really good deal. If I bought those individually, I would have paid around $120 for each brace and $200 for the rear swaybar.

look on www.car-part.com for a 34mm swaybar.  I got mine for $24 shipped.  when you do a query it automatically ask you what size bar you need.  It is listed under stabilizer bar.

you really don't need a p/n for the sway bar because the site on car part clearly ask you if you want a 30mm 34mm etc...  also on jcwhitneys site you just plug in 95lumina and it will take  you to the springs.  the STB are part #12456148 www.gmpartsdirect.com $7.80ea.  I bought my front from the dealer for $16ea WTF those punks got me for double the price  ! but I was smart and got the rear of the net.

Any Lumina Z34 will work. And any 91+ Grand Prix GTP with the FE3 suspension will have the bar.
