it seems all of the mechanisms work, can open the door from inside or outside but if you lock the door you then cannot unlock it from inside or outside, thus the door is locked and cannot be opened. How do i unlock or open the door when it is already closed? does anyone have a diagram, i can put the window down and slim jim it? :icon_cool:
I have had similar problems from time to time and I have to hit the unlock button repeatedly till it lets the car door open again. As far as a slim jim the lock rod is just behind the door panel then slips inside the door between the window I'm not sure it will be help much at all.
If it is below 40 degrees neither of my doors will open. True story. At 40 degrees and above, no problem. I swear to god though, the second it drops to 39 degrees. You arent opening my TGP's doors without a bat to break the glass. Just another reason these cars are maddening. :icon_evil:

HAHA mine did the same thing. Good thing it was stored all winter!
Yep, no matter where it is at, if it below 40 degrees. It is "stored"! :icon_razz:
the lock rod may be bent. if u do get the door open pull the panel rite behind the handle off and there are two rods there. 1 is the handle the other is the lock rod.If the lock rod is bent just a little to far it wont release and will prevent the door from opening. My car did it shortly after i bought it.
Again....
the door is locked and closed, how do i open the door..... once its open i can handle taking apart the door once its open.

Try pulling the small piece of trim behind the inner door handle and see if you can manipulate the lock rod from there to get the door "unlocked."
