Title: power master III
Post by: tgpfarmer on December 23, 2011, 06:13:34 PM
wondering my best option in this. my brakes work good but leak fluid bad. been driving it for the most part without power brakes because of how fast it looses fluid. replacement units are next to impossible to find and the one i did at rock auto is 1000+ dollars!! have another grand prix 1990 se 5 speed i plan on using as a parts car but see that changing it over is very involved and don't really wanna pull the dash any other options? can i get a rebuild kit for pm III? is it worth rebuilding? any other options?

Rebuilt PMIIIs pop up from time to time, otherwise look for a good used one.  There aren't too many options for them at the moment.  If you're planning on 5-speed swapping it, you'll need to remove the dash anyway to swap in the 5-speed firewall plate with the clutch pedal bracket and clutch master cylinder on it.
