Hey there... I have a 91 TGP motor/auto-trans and transplanted them into a different GM car. Unfortunately the ECM didn't come with the package. The ECM in the car works with the motor, but the chip doesn't. Having a really difficult time finding a chip or a suitable replacement. Can anyone here help me? Needing it soon as the vehicle is currently being put together.
Thanks

thanks for the info. I've been searching all day today in different websites etc. but haven't found anything.
Finding a TGP chip is like finding a needle in a hay stack. Your next option is to find a 2.8-3.1 chip and have it modified to accept the TGP tune. Here is one example.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-ACDelco-16140346-ECM-Calibrator-1987-Celebrity-2-8L-Automatic-/170702650458?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27beabbc5a&vxp=mtr#ht_2419wt_698
Next would be to find someone who can make the necessary modifications and burn the proper tune onto it. I would be will to modify the chip and burn a good tune for $175.00 shipped back to you.
Hey thanks flybynite! I may take you up on that offer. Right now the car is at a tuner shop and they seem to be looking into burning a chip, but not sure how that is going. I'm going to check in with them this Thursday and will let you know. I have several of the 2.8 and 3.1 chips laying around from trying to find something that would make it work better. But yeah, if they can't get one done, I'll let you know..
Sweet! :icon_mrgreen:
Part two... Flybynite, I just sent you a PM..
