Decided to check out Mobile Dragway across the bay and see what kind of times my car can get. Test'n'tune every Friday evening. And I have never even used more than 1/2 or 2/3 throttle in this car in any situation. I don't think. :icon_redface:
I've read up about the staging systems and know how it works in general, but how do I drive this thing well on a drag strip?
Drive around the water box if you are on street tires, pull up to the staging beems. The 2 lights on the top of the "Tree" will light up, then roll just a little bit more forward. Hold 1 foot on the brake and push the gas pedal and build up some boost. If ya want to get a good reaction time left off the brake on the 3rd yellow light and hit the gas. Ya just want to work on launching the car ya can sit there as long as ya want. It wont change the time.
Crappy vid but Ya should be able to get the point.

Also check out my channel for race videos, I have a few First person views where you can kinda see the lights going off.

Got two runs in before the vacuum lines popped off again. I didn't want to bother doing anything worse. Also, it was an 1/8 mile as I found out the night before.

The top of the receipt: MOBILE DRAGWAY | "WORLDS GREATEST DRAGSTRIP" :icon_lol:
Based on some of the other times, this is pretty good for just a tune and an air filter. I'll head back once I solve my lost vac line bracket issue (another thread if I can't find with search)
I also have a video on my phone but its hopelessly blurry so I won't bother uploading it. I have better cameras and will make sure Pop gets to use a better one next time.
