Title: Charge pipe to throttle body elbow
Post by: SwampTGP on July 13, 2013, 02:17:54 PM
I damaged the elbow coming out of my throttle body today and need to get a new one.   Anyone know of a good place you can refer me to?   It's a 90 degree bend and very short.   Anyone have the measurements of the throttle body opening on these cars?     It's not a factory set-up so the factory parts won't work.  It's in a different car.     I'm having a hard time finding anything.

Thanks..

If it was me I'd just go to a local exhaust shop and see if they will make you one (mandrel bent). They should have smaller spare pieces laying around or measure it and order some pre bent pipe from summit or jegs.

It's the rubber elbow that I'm looking for.    Sorry I wasn't clear about that...

Is it an air  (vacuum line) or a coolant line on the bottom.

im confused too. is it the coolant lines from the throttle your talking about? If so just bypass the stupid thing, its just warming the throttle body so just in case its -20 outside and your going 60 mph it wont freeze up the throttle plate.

Thanks to everyone who replied.   I was able to find the part I needed through the shop that has been working on this car for me.  What I needed was the rubber elbow that goes from the throttle body to the charge pipe in a 90 degree bend configuration.  Thanks for everyone's input.
